I think I am losing track of time… and feeling like I’m the only person who isn’t quite ready for the holiday season? So I’m working on catching up to the rest of the world and have made a check list.
First things first… advertising for Christmas Parties and planning New Years Eve. Our advertising is well underway, and we’ve begun taking reservations. The New Years menu is just about complete, our ad comes out in the December issue of The Scope and we are officially taking reservations. Not quite ready to check this off the list, but close…
Second… figuring out what to get everyone for Christmas? Or at least helping everyone else figure out what to buy their family and friends. It’s safe to say that I’ll be giving gift certificates to Chinched Bistro to a few folks… And what a great idea that is? Gift Certificates are available throughout the holiday season and going forward. It makes a great gift for the person who has everything. Or maybe you’re looking for some artwork this Christmas… we may have what you are looking for. Winston Osmond’s work is still being shown at Chinched Bistro. So now you can check this off your list, and so can I. Glad I could help!
Third… decorating. The big question is always when should you decorate for Christmas? Not too late, but not too early, you don’t want to get sick of the holidays before they arrive. I have started this task and hope to finish is by next week. I think if I wait until the 20th, which seems to be a happy medium?
And finally, our staff party… Details are still being ironed out on this one; however “Secret Santa” begins this weekend and with any luck we will set a date for the party as well. In true Chinched Bistro style, I’m sure we will celebrate like Kings and Queens…
So I guess I’m not doing too badly, so far? Just going to play catch up for a few more days and I should be all caught up by next week, which can only mean I will be behind on something else…
