As the thought of a cold long winter begins to set in we’ve been trying to think of ways to keep things fun and interesting for ourselves, our staff and our guests.

The Quidi Vidi Beer Dinner was a HUGE success, which we were very thrilled about.  We are already looking ahead to the next one, which could be as early as this fall…  But that’s much too far way to get caught up in at the moment.  We need to concentrate on the current events at Chinched Bistro.  Our ongoing winter happenings, which we hope will shake the cold out of most, will be “Restaurant Industry Nights”, every Monday through the winter in our Dining Lounge.  We’ll be offering Quidi Vidi on tap for $3/pint, ½ L wine specials and a selection of delicious bar food.

Shaun and I are really looking forward to “Restaurant Industry Night” so we can get to know our fellow chefs, cooks and servers.  Being somewhat new to the St. John’s Restaurant community we felt it would be a great way to build on relationships within the industry and also to be able to provide a fun atmosphere for our fellow restaurant industry professionals.

I have had the opportunity to get on board with the Savour Food & Wine Show committee which has certainly opened the door for us to get to know many other professionals here in St. John’s.  And I am hoping that Mondays nights in the dining lounge at Chinched Bistro will be a great way to build on this experience.

We are planning some additional events through the winter and into the spring, however dates and details are not quite ironed out, you will have to stay tuned to get all the information.  In the meantime, if you work in the industry we hope to see you some Monday for a delicious Pint of QV and some treats at the bar.
